Memory stability: a qualified fix
The official v1.0.6 notes do not guarantee that every memory problem or crash is gone. If memory or VRAM continues to grow abnormally and the game becomes unstable, record the version, hardware and steps that reproduce the issue, then use the Bug Report Form linked from NPC Studio’s patch notes.
OBS capture and the cursor workaround
NPC Studio confirms that Game Capture and Window Capture have been restored. In some capture modes, viewers can see an in-game cursor that the streamer cannot. The official temporary workaround is to turn off Native Cursor in the game’s Settings → Graphics menu.
Still under investigation
Some problems with OBS Display Capture and Discord screen sharing remain under investigation. The Game Capture and Window Capture fix is not a claim that every capture method now works.
Other confirmed fixes
The official notes also fix the black screen when returning to the main menu and correct the swapped Fullscreen and Borderless display modes. Crash fixes cover throwing a Clod Bomb, failed NPC pathfinding and rare crashes on exiting the game; they are not a universal crash guarantee.
Text updates, not new language launches
Russian and Simplified Chinese text updates intended for v1.0.5 are implemented in v1.0.6. This is not the first introduction of either language.
What remains v1.0.5 history
Reduced stuttering, improved frame pacing and improved high-refresh-rate support were announced in v1.0.5. They are not new v1.0.6 features. Crop, gift and Museum datasets retain their own verification dates; this patch summary does not revalidate those records.
